oh goodness - where to even start. Halo Pub & the Bent Spoon (two wonderful ice cream shops). The Woodrow Wilson fountain is fun for splashing about in. Alexander Hall (pictured above) is absolutely iconic, and you can buy tickets to the university orchestra concerts there (highly recommend!)
I’m not sure if it’s open to the general public, but definitely try to check out Chancellor Green Hall and specifically the Rotunda for its beautiful stained glass ceiling. Prospect Park is tiny but so pretty to walk through. Head to the Welcome Desk Frist Campus Center and sign up for an Orange Key Tour - they’re free & they take you all over campus!
One last tip - avoid campus during reunions weekends (typically end of May) as it can be obnoxious. That said, on the last night of reunions, there’s an enormous fireworks show accompanied by an orchestra concert at the football stadium. It’s open to the public and absolutely stunning.
- from someone who worked at the university’s welcome desk throughout undergrad :) enjoy!
